Hey Jude! Producing Excellence as Standard

sTANDARDIt’s here and looking good!  The world’s only Standard that covers all parts of an organisation has been refreshed, and mighty smart it looks too – I am as proud as punch.

Over the last 20 years Investors in Excellence (formerly Midlands Excellence) has been delivering excellence to organisations big and small, multi-sector, home and abroad.  Building clarity, capability, and capacity in teams, individuals, business leaders, boards, OMT, SMT, CMT….  and what a privilege it’s been creating these centres of excellence and seeing the smiles of achievement when hearing the words “you are an Investor in Excellence”

Sustaining excellence doesn’t come without commitment – a culture of excellence has been developed and driven by leaders, some of whom appear here in my hall of fame. They come from many sectors and act as ambassadors for us and within their own organisations: The Community Housing Group (Marina Banner) and Bilfinger GVA (Sharon Walton), energy in Field Operations at E.ON (Mark Wooldridge) and swinging in with a “contemporary verve” in the office at The Hanley Building Society (David Webster). International manufacturing success at Concentric Ab in Birmingham and India (David Woolley). Improving communities and patient experiences in Clinical Commissioning Groups (Chris Edwards, Matt Ward, Nigel Gray) … and there are many more.

The thing they all have in common is motivating, supporting and inspiring their people to be in tune with continuous improvement.
It was said yesterday that the Beatles without Sir George Martin were an orchestra without a conductor.  Without George they would still have been a phenomenal success –  with George they became arguably one of the world’s greatest bands.

That’s how I feel about these business leaders and our Standard. To join us do please get in touch.
