The Investors in Excellence Standard is a prestigious mark of excellence awarded to organisations that demonstrate a high standard of all-round business performance.
It covers all key business areas including leadership, people and customer results – but its scope makes it a powerful improvement tool.

“This award demonstrates the hard work, commitment and dedication of staff here at the prison. This journey afforded us the opportunity, whilst undergoing a merger of three separate sites HMP & YOI Moorland, HMP & YOI Hatfield and HMP Lindholme to adhere to the principles of the standard while evaluating our internal processes and examining each part of the business to demonstrate continuous improvement. All this was also achieved while we were undergoing a rigorous competition process.”

“Staff at all three sites have demonstrated that they can work together to focus on what matters most in delivering the ambition of ‘Changing Lives’ in difficult economic times and against a background of tremendous change for all concerned.
“We will be sad to see this establishment pass over into the hands of the private sector but I am delighted that their collective work has been highlighted in this way and congratulate staff and managers for their considerable efforts and teamwork.”
