Excellence Ambassador ties up a new venture – ‘tie wearing will never be the same again’

Well, from running a software company to a new business in the Men’s gift market…an obvious connection…well maybe not!

Well, Steve Dingley has always been up for a challenge. Steve, known to many in the Investors in Excellence community, founded and took Integrated fm to be a leader in its chosen marketplace of software for facilities management, much of its success, according to Steve, was his passion for using the Investors in Excellence Standard as the framework for the whole business.

Integrated fm won most improved business in 2003 and accredited with the Standard in 2005 and 2008. Also Steve was recognised for his contribution to the excellence community becoming an Ambassador of Excellence in 2005. Following the successful sale of Integrated fm in 2010 he had the opportunity to follow through on a new idea he had had for the Men’s gift market….and the Tie with a Twist was born!

So, what’s it all about then? The idea works on several levels…although this would be pigeon holed as a novelty tie it is far more than that…from the front, it just looks like a stylish, uniquely designed, Men’s tie but the fun starts when you do the twist to reveal the message on the back of the tie…this could be a question…Fancy a Drink? Or an instruction at the end of a hard day at work …Pint Please! The initial run has four colours to choose from with six messages.

The business is already getting interest from the corporate market with the thought that short company messages could be distributed to male team members in a fun way…Steve is already on the case for the female alternative!

Ian Nield CEO of IiE commented “I liked it so much,I became the first customer! Havng seen the success of the IiE Standard in his previous business, it was no surprise tha Steve used the excellence principles in the formation of his new enterprise. I have no doubt it will be a huge success”
