Les Jones is a long-standing inspiration to the IiE team and he is a man of many talents.
These even include being the lead singer of the Ex Factor band that was formed for the 2010 Midlands Excellence awards ceremony.
Elsie is his vision and proved to be a significant challenge – how to create a new magazine from scratch and doing everything involved apart from the printing!
Elsie is all about design and photography, people and culture. It’s based on a series of themes, many of which are quite random. It’s about trying stuff out and seeing where it leads. There is no big agenda, no fundamental message, Elsie is produced for the sheer joy of doing something creative.
Elsie is a great example of entrepreneurial spirit and creativity and there are many valuable lessons that can be applied to any organisation.
In sharing these lessons, IiE is teaming up with Les to take Elsie on the road with a series of invigorating, interactive and entertaining networking events.
