Age Cymru Swansea Bay commits to becoming an Investor in Excellence

Investors in Excellence is delighted to announce the recent commitment of Age Cymru Swansea Bay to achieving the Investors in Excellence Standard.

The Investors in Excellence Standard is a prestigious mark of excellence awarded to those organisations that demonstrate a high standard of all-round business performance. It is a very testing Standard covering all key business areas including leadership, people and customer results – but its scope makes it a powerful improvement tool.

Ian Nield, chief executive of Investors in Excellence, said: “This commitment to achieve the Investors in Excellence Standard by Age Cymru Swansea Bay demonstrates a clear focus on continuous improvement. Implementing improvements to achieve the Standard and subjecting themselves to external assessment will facilitate better and more efficient services to customers.”

Age Cymru Swansea Bay is a vibrant, independent local charity working at the heart of the community to meet the needs of older people aged 50+ and make a difference to their lives. The charity works collaboratively with over 70 partners, including the local health board, the local authority, other voluntary sector partners and the private sector.

Mrs Nicola Russell–Brookes, Director of Business, at Age Cymru Swansea Bay (pictured left) commented “Committing to the Investors in Excellence Standard reflects our commitment to excellence.

Investors in Excellence has provided us with a user-friendly framework that will enable us to continually improve our business for the good of our customers and employees.”
